I liked seeing Maya Rudolph again after Idiocracy. Also Magie Gyll. after Secretary. Besides, with me this movie worked a mere 50%: Why would anybody judge (rationalize) a whole new set of personal surroundings, a whole city!, on just ONE private, deliberate (!) encounter… ? Our couple was thinking too hard. However, the orange tree story had me crying. Strangely, a feelgood movie after all.

I will respectfully disagree because I understand your point. But I am optimistic about the film even if DiCaprio can be annoying. Scorsese gets better as he ages. Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, The Departed with films in between that were pretty good such as Cape Fear which is in a similar genre as Shutter Island. It has a strong supporting cast with Ben Kingsley, Jackie Earle Harley, Mark Ruffalo and Max von Sydow. Hopefully these other factors will outweigh the bad things in the traile
shutter island looks like shit,cheesy plot..cheese special effects plus the neverending bitchy-like persona of dicaprio….his prescence on screen is becoming a huge cliche…scorsese really needs another muse..he should get people like daniel day lewis,billy Crudup or jonathan rhys meyers…dicaprio keeps sounding like a 16 year old kid no matter what….is a fucking fact…on top of that shutter island reminds me of the ring or crap like that..fuck that…so my vote goes to this one,cheers
